Having trouble threading your needle?
Place something white (small piece of paper) behind your sewing machine needle. This makes threading your needle much easier
When threading your hand needle always leave your thread attached to the spool until you have threaded your needle. This prevents the thread from fraying. I also hold the thread in my left hand between the thumb and my fore finger and set the thread down over the thread in my left hand with my right hand.
Removing Steam-a Seam
When removing steam-a-seam score it with a straight pin before removing the backing. This is much better than pulling on it, as some recommend.
